Something interesting happened whenever I wore pearls. Simple studs, a delicate pendant, or my favorite bracelet. Someone would pay a lovely compliment, or say “I love pearls,” which usually led to a quick chat about earrings gifted for a birthday, graduation, or a treasured family heirloom. No matter their preference of style, we always agreed….

There’s something very special about pearls!

In 1990, I began traveling to Asia. No trip was complete without an addition to my growing pearl collection. I could hardly wait to share my latest treasure finds with close friends. As I explored the design element of jewelry for myself, friends and acquaintances began to request that I design jewelry for them as well… The Charlotte Pearl Company was born!
